About me!
Hello, hello!
My name is Francesca Querin.
I am a fashion designer, born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. My passion for pattern design began while I was working in a fashion company in my country, which without looking for it, gave a complete turn to my plans in the world of fashion. I discovered that I could combine my knowledge of clothing and my passion for textiles and illustration.
Infinitely grateful for this experience, I decided to take a different direction and become a freelancer.
I started this stage of my life and created my own small studio, professionally in 2017, and since then I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to work with a few international brands, with which I have had the honor to collaborate creatively. I’ve also been able to experiment designing patterns and illustrations for different things that are not related to clothes or textiles. So I could define myself as a fashion designer, illustrator, textile, and surface pattern designer, that sounds a little messy, but which creative isn’t?
I really enjoy designing for any lines and products. I think when you decide to be a freelance pattern designer, and you want to make your career in many areas (my case), you must have to learn how to adapt your ideas to different concepts without losing your identity as an artist, and in my case, I love experimenting with the different visions each client has. It makes me more demanding with myself, with my creativity, and allows me to do my best.
To know me a little more… In my free time I love baking cookies, cakes, and all kinds of sweets, it’s therapeutic for me and disconnects me when I need it...so you’ll probably see a bit of this on the blog, hehe.
It has been a great adventure since I decided to get into this freelance world, and I am determined to continue and to keep growing in this beautiful universe.
So we’ll see you on the road, my friend!
